What makes Cooma so much better than any other place to live or work?

The list is huge, but these are the top points for us:

We like what we do.

We have a well organized surgery.

Centrally located - within a 75-minutes drive to: the nation's capital Canberra: the ski fields of the Snowy Mountains; and the beautiful Far South Coast.

With a major airport at Canberra, we are only a plane ride away from the country's major centres. During the ski season, direct flights from Sydney to Cooma are sometimes scheduled.

Cooma is the home of the Snowy Mountains Scheme which began construction in 1949 with the help of many immigrants who relocated after the war. On completion of the Scheme, a huge number of the workers settled in Cooma, consequently making it a very multicultural town. 

There are a great many activities and sight seeing opportunities in the area, including bush walking, fishing, a large variety of sporting facilities available, the Southern Cloud Memorial, many historic buildings, the list is endless.

When we have medical students come to train here, they all say the same thing to us, ‘ You guys seem to really enjoy your work!’, and we do.
